Goodbye 2013, Hello 2014!

Hellooo,

Happy New Years Everyone!

I hope you all had a good time celebrating what ever you did whether that be out drinking or cosy night! :)

First post of 2014, waheeey :)

Let's start off with where the heck has 2013 gone? Literally feels like a blink of an eye! So I wanted to take a few moments to write and reflect on my 2013 and look ahead to 2014!

I stayed at home with my little family in our pyjamas and we had like a little buffet dinner and watched Despicable Me 2 MINIONS!!!! Once Corey had gone to bed, I did some blogger before the other half and I watched the London Fireworks on TV with a cheeky glass of wine. Which is where we should have been tonight. But I couldn't bare the thought of standing in the cold for all them hours. I am not really a big fan of the whole going out thing any more, probably happened only around 5/6 times in 2013 - yes that does make me boring!

Our Evening In Pictures

Plus who else's dogs went mental at all the fireworks? Had 100's all night long, do they not realise it is meant to go off at 12?!

Goodbye 2013

Well 2013 has certainly been a roller coaster ride for me, with many ups and downs. Thing I did over 2013:

SeaSide Holiday
Operation
Full-time work
Got a doggy

That was it really, but two massive things happened over Summer -

Started my Blog
Moved House

My previous flat I had lived in since December 2010 - was really hard to say goodbye to this. But I now have a beautiful two bedroom house with a garden (this was the main bit for me, somewhere to have BBQ's, Corey and doggy to play too!) It was really stressful moving as during the process I actually was very poorly and a few days later I had my emergency operation - safe to say I was the most useful person ever. An easy escape from packing and unpacking ;) I had spent many months unwell and in/out hospital. Was such a relief to finally feel better.

Next, my lovely little blog - ahh how I love the so! The absolute best part of my 2013 by far, I am so glad I actually took that step and did it back on September 2nd. At first, I was a bit reluctant due to fears of not being good enough etc. I even started out as hidden identity 'Yummy Mummy xo' as I didn't really want to share all my personal life to begin with. Yess, I know I am not 'yummy' but it's too late now - I can't turn back (or think of anything else)! After only around 2 weeks of being apart of the wonderful blogging community, yes you guys!! I felt comfortable enough to share who I am :) If you are a newbie reader to my blog, you can read my About Me page here. I have met some wonderful fellow bloggers, and am so proud of how far not only my blog has come but my writing skills too. I hope anyways! I blog for myself, and I continue to do so as generally I have noticed an improvement in myself and moods by having this little world of comfort. :)

Lots of you who are just obssessed with Instagram as I am - here is my 2013 flipagram thingy :) Really annoying as it is on constant repeat which I can not change so apologies!

Don't say I said so, but it brought tears to my other half's eyes. I guess he can be soppy at times!

Hello 2014

I am not setting myself any resolutions as such due to the fact that I do not believe in 'New Year New Me'. Yes I do have targets I have set myself for example the cliché of losing weight, this isn't because of the 'New Year' just it is time, and what better time just after Christmas ey? I will actually have a weight loss post series starting on my blog - hopefully to give me a bit of motivation to keep going :) To state this obvious, this will include healthy eating. So I shall be putting recipes on the blog - exciting!

Also, as mentioned in 2013, I was actually work however as of the 9th January 2014 I will not longer be working, which many of you may be aware from my Twitter that I handed my notification in before Christmas. I want to be at home with Corey more. I just felt that working full-time I wasn't spending enough time with him and it was breaking my heart. Especially when he would make me cry every morning when he wanted to stay at home with mummy! Due to the government funding system etc, it is actually no difference money wise for me to be in work or not - so honestly, I didn't see much point in working. Money saving tips posts will be up too :)

I will be undertaking a Nail Technician Specialist Course which I have mentioned before on this blog, I am really excited about this - as it is all I have ever wanted to do! :) I will then do some working from home with this nearer the end of the year with any luck.

Concentrating on my blog, is a big thing too. In 2013 up there, I mentioned how well I feel I have achieved in a short space of time in my blog. I continue to write and enjoy myself :) Also, attend my first ever bloggers meet - maybe even more than one!

Going back to spending more time with Corey, we will hopefully be doing nicer things together. I have written a list of realistic things I would like us to do. Things like days out, a Butlins holiday and more.

My favourite part of 2014, July will be my 21st!!

Until next time..

I hope 2014 is an amazing year for you all and look forward to what the lovely blogging journey has in store for all of us :) As you can see lots of new ideas for the blog too, so I hope you will all enjoy and continue to read my blog!

Don't forget to say Hii on Twitter too :)

Future Ambitions

Hello Bloggers

Well as a child, we all have dreams of what our future would be like - what was yours?

I think that most of them are unrealistic, all boys want to be fireman etc. How many of them actually do?

I personally grew up wanting to have my own salon, used to sit daily drawing sketches of how I wanted the layout and colour scheme etc. In 2011 I did start college for Hair & Beauty, however, due to personal circumstances beyond my control, I had to leave! Now I am currently training on an Apprenticeship to be a Teacher to adults. A very stable and enjoyable job, however, very exhausting. You can actually read one of my posts on 'Life As A Working Mummy xo'! After having a week off this week, I would love nothing more to not be able to go back - so I can spend some quality time with Corey. We have had some bad news this week regarding certain things and next few weeks could be incredibly hard for us so now more than ever I need to continue being the best mummy possible. Quite frankly, I am a bit down in the dumps and feeling rather low - I am very emotional, and the littlest of things are setting me off! Most likely due to tablets that I am on affecting my hormones. I keep contemplating in my mind on what to do however I need to persevere. Whether I have the will-power to do this or not, I have no idea at present. I just don't want to be failure, yet again! It would be the nicest thing possible to leave my job and concentrate soley on my family with a beauty course on the side. But the only thing stopping me is that I don't want to get to say 28 with 2 or 3 children and have to then start my career as an old lady. I just want to create the best for my son, as I write this he is just sitting like an angel, making my heart melt!!!

Although I am not be certain on how things are going at the moment, one thing I am sure of is that one day in the far away future - I WILL HAVE MY OWN SALON!

Going to start by saving up £450 to do a Nail Course which will involve the following:

Manicure & Pedicure
Gel Overlays & Extensions
Acyrlics Overlays & Extensions
Nail Art (includ wraps)

So deffo something to start off with to get me into it, but then there is the costs of the kits etc afterwards. Never ending battle of money, which I am limited to my fundings, errrr!

I also would love to get engaged, get married and have more children.. oh yeah, almost forgot the perfect dream house too!

What was your childhood dream, how did it change and what do you do currently to achieve your future ambitions? :)

MAC Lipstick - Ruby Woo

Evening Bloggers,

With MAC being ever so popular, for my first ever give-away, the lucky winner won £30 worth of MAC Products, whom decided to go for MAC Pro Palettes to start her collections of eye shadows. Frankly, I had never tried MAC before, so I just went with a MAC Lipstick in Ruby Woo.

A bit bias on prices due to not having a lot of money, so to me it is very expensive, even more shocking to find that at delivery it was absolutely tiny. No other blogger as mentioned this, and it may be just me being slightly petty. However, I believe it is a vital point to include in this review.

I love the Matte effect - I personally always use a Matte over a Glossy, due to the difference in textures.

Anywho, here it is in full swing:

Please excuse the bad quality photo, I am having a rather bad day!

As you can see a beautiful colour, one I will use for only good occasions, it lasted long and I got many compliments. Overall, a satisfied customer.

It's A 3 Day Christmas!!

Helloo lovelies,

Well let me start by saying Merry Christmas & A Happy New Year, hope you have all had a wonderful few days. Christmas is my absolute favourite time of year.

House Decorations

I have a post all about this, here 'Christmas Galore' so be sure to check it out to see more of these beautiful pictures of my tree. Here is Corey putting the Star on top of the tree, a priceless moment.

Christmas Eve

On Christmas Eve, it is my Grandmother's birthday so we have celebrations for this at my Mum's :) We didn't really do much, just a meal with the family. But afterwards, I decided to go out for my best friends 'R' birthday, who was turning 21 on Christmas Day. Well as a mother, I wouldn't really go out knowing I have to be up early for Corey in the morning however I am fortunate to not suffer from hangovers, ever. Went out at 10, way after he went sleep and I got home about 3, and had my alarm set for 6 - bad idea. I got up and felt absolutely fine, wasn't even really tired all day - it caught up with me today on Boxing Day though. What you do for friend's ey :)

Here is me on the night:

Awful picture quality due to iphone! For some reason I decided to wear a flowery top at Christmas!

I had a lovely drunken night, drank far too much and spent a lot of money! But as I do not go out often, it was so worth it.

Christmas Day

So as above I managed to only managed to get 3 hours sleep, my day started at 8.30am where we went to my Mum's for our traditional breakfast of Bacon Sarnie, yummy! Corey had a few presents after this, and then we took the rest round to my Grandmother's to open the rest :)

Presents I got from Corey

A few ornaments, including a 'Best Mum' Me To You in an apron. As well as some absolutely gorgeous Sterling Silver and 9ct Gold 'Mum' earrings - my favourite present of all. Vera Wang perfume, I had wanted this for a while since it had come out recently, someone knows me well and the smell is just so fruity and amazing!

Joint Christmas presents

Well, a little while ago we got the laptop as was in a need for a new one :) Also, got a slow cooker due to my part at work - mum decided I needed to cook more. Finally, the best part - cupcake storage boxes, very excited to use this.

Corey opening and playing with his presents

Corey with various family members

Only picture I managed to get with Corey, boo!

This next one takes some explaining, partner and I don't have pictures very often and certainly hadn't had one in a long while. When I asked, this is what I got:

For the rest of the day this is what happened:

As some of you may already know, Corey's dad and I are not together and he does have regular access (blah blah blah).. but on Christmas we share, I get Christmas Eve right through until 2pm Christmas day, his dad then gets from then until 8pm Boxing Day.. that is a very long time apart!!

After he left, my family and I then went on to have a lovely meal and opened all our presents. Other half and I didn't do presents this year, as we can not afford too. I don't usually buy for family members either, as I just put my name on my Mum's ones. This year though, I got everyone a Vista Print desk calender, every month had a picture of Corey from our photoshoot recently which you can see here.

As you can see, in July I kindly stated to my family that it will be my 21st!!! (just encase they forget!)

Frankly, I spent most of the afternoon/evening a bit down in the dumps because I just missed my Corey far too much, the thought of it now that he is still not at home just makes me cry so I am blubbering away just writing about this. Even though Corey goes away every other weekend, Saturday Morn - Sunday Eve, I still can not bare it. This weekend Corey again goes away :(

In the evening, we went to our friends house to exchange presents - not getting back until gone midnight. Made plans to go see 'The Hobbit' movie over the weekend.

Boxing Day

Other half started work at 7.45am for work, hate retail! - I stayed in bed until 10am. I could have slept much longer as I was super knackered from no sleep after my Christmas Eve antics but I had Boxing Day Sales to go too. Another family tradition - Grandmother, Mummy and I go every year :)

A new snood I got :)

He came home from work ill just as I was taking pictures, handy!

Good News - here is what I got treated too:

I needed some things for the kitchen, I got an icing tool, cake tester and a jug to go along with my earlier present of cupcake storage boxes :) - feel like such a grown up with all these household essential's as gifts. Corey got treated to this Peppa Pig, which was half price in Boots making it a bargain at £13!!!

Bad News - I had the worst experience with Benefit counter in my local Debenhams. Honestly, I only have "They're Real" mascara, but I wanted to treat myself and she was just so awfully rude and so unknowledgeable (probably not a word but who cares!). She knew nothing about prices, so unhelpful. They had lots of boxes filled with goodies, I wanted one - very clearly as I kept going over. Finally, she asked me if I would like help, took a while! When I asked how much, she said they are full priced items in a box. That's it?! Honestly, if I were a rude person I could have given her a piece of my mind. When I asked how much again, she just said they are all full priced. I wanted to know a total cost of how much everything in it was. I was so frustrated, I gracefully left and shall not return.

Overall, there wasn't much in my local town so nothing exciting or make-up goodies. I shall be purchasing various goodies online though, so keep an eye out for many reviews. For certain, I will be treating myself to Sleek, MAC, New Look & Urban Decay.

The Best Bit

I can not believe that I have left out the best part of my whole Christmas. I got an absolutely amazing card from Corey! (some of you may have already seen this on instagram). But my other half actually did good for once.

Corey loves Peppa Pig at the moment. But what makes it so special is what is inside, Corey always calls me his best friend and the 'love you, miss you, see you soon' is something we say to eachother every time we have to say goodbye. It is silly but this card means everything to me. Corey loves it just as much as I do as he has been carrying it around with him for past few days now! Here he is reading it on Christmas Morning:

How a card can mean so much is beyond me, but I am keeping it by my bedside all year round :) do not care!!

Overall

We had an amazing couple of days, Corey was spoilt rotten. Besides missing him a lot! - I now have him at home with me, cuddles in mummies bed :) yay!

I am so pleased with my Christmas presents, and can't wait to treat myself to some bits. Most of all had lots of yummy food and loved spending time with my family!

So I hope to see lots of posts of everyone's days, leave your links please :)

Corey's 3rd Birthday!!

Helloo lovelies :)

This is hard for me to even process let alone write about, but my little perfect munchkin has turned 3. To be quite honest I can not even explain how I feel about this, as it just makes me feel odd and sad that he isn't a baby anymore!! My Corey is all grown up, time has gone far too quickly for my liking but every step of the way since he was a baby has been perfect :) He is my son, best friend and my whole entire world <3 Honestly, the love a mother has for her child, is so different to the love you would have for your partner - It is unexplainable, almost unbelieveable. Some days I just look at Corey and will cry because I sit their thinking how much I love him. Which may sound silly to some, but I couldn't live my life without him. To start off with I am going to do 'A Birthday Questionnaire' the guestions from Dancing With Dirty Feet blog :) who kindly let me borrow for Corey :) so here we go:

How old are you? 3
What is your favourite colour? Green
What is your favourite animal? Moo Cow (it isn't really!)
What is your favourite book? Fireman Sam
What is your favourites t.v. show? Fireman Sam & Peppa Pig & Hollyoaks - wait, what? he crys everytime!!!
What is your favourite movie? Monsters or Minions
What is your favourite song? Don't Worry Be Happy, just like that mummy.
What is your favourite food? Chicken
What is your favourite drink? Orange
What is your favourite breakfast food? Cereal
What is your favourite snack? Biscuits or Cake
What is your favourite outfit? Fireman Sam
What is your favourite game? Jigsaw Puzzles
What is your favourite toy? Teddies
Who is your best friend? Mummy.. n'aww sweetie :)
What is your favourite thing to do? Toys
What is your favourite thing to do outside? Bikes, at Nursery!
What was your favourite holiday? Ermm, nothing, I didn't even go on Holiday on an Aeroplane, did I? *huffs and puffs*
What do you take to bed with you at night? Teddies
Where is your favourite place to go? Our house.
What is your favourite restaurant? "where we go shopping, where we buy the toys"
Where would you like to go on holidays? Disney Land.. Ohh I wish!
What makes you happy? Ermmmmmm, food and toys
What makes you sad? Sandie just licked me last time (the dog!)
What do you want to be when you grow up? Erm, I am grown up.
What did you do on your birthday? Christmas & Presents

Well that is a strange concucsition of answers from my wonderful little 3 year old. :) He has a very big imaginary at the moment and as you can tell a cheeky monkey :) I think I take the hint that he may want to go to Disney Land on an Aeroplane? Well, me too!!

Corey's birthday ended up on a Thursday this year but we all booked the time off so the family could have a nice day together celebrating at Nanny's house! :) We had a lunch of burgers, hot dogs and crisps that my mum had kindly made for us all.

Here is Corey playing with some old his old toys whilst waiting for the family to arrive

Waiting patiently!

Opening his birthday cards, this was his favorite from his mummy of course :P

Opening lots of presents

Birthday Cake - He decided to hide whilst we sang 'Happy Birthday' must have been shy!!

His very strange face whilst he attempted to blow out the candles - was hilarious

Told him to smile and this is what I got, cheeky monkey

As you can see we had a lovely day filled with lots of fun and laughter! :) and yet again another year of Corey being spoilt rotten as per usual!

On Sunday due this weekend - Corey, my other half, nanny and I will be doing something very exciting to also celebrate Corey's birthday :)

I think we plan to go Mead Open Farm which is a local petting farm, however they have a massive wonderful christmas inside heated kingdom this year :) Corey needs to see Santa in time for Christmas! He will love it. Only thing I am worried about is the fact instead of Santa giving a present, he has a 'Toy Shop' where the children get to choose a present - a brilliant money making idea however I can not see Corey leaving with just one toy!! I will do another post of this if I manage to get some good enough pictures :) so keep an eye out please.

New Year's Eve Outfit Ideas

Evening lovelies :)

Well this post is all about New Years Eve Outfit Ideas - the below outfits are designed and made by New Look for those with plus size figures like myself, however, I think these outfits could be for anyone :)

Plans For New Years

If you don't know already, you will realise in this post that I love London!! - literally anything to do with it :) Unsure how the obsession started but even more so now my son loves the big red buses and the black taxis.

I plan on going to London for New Years Eve hopefully any ways to view the beautiful fireworks with my boyfriend :) romantic of course under the stars with all the lights etc, my favourite the London Eye.

Corey will be having a sleepover at his nanny's for the evening as both of them will be asleep by 8 haha :)

What do you have planned?

Outfit

As I plan to go to London for the fireworks, I have gone for a sensible outfit as baring in mind, it is going to be freezing cold at midnight with possible chances of rain too.

It has dawned on me that it is only round the corner before New Years Eve too, so after I write this I better get ordering online quick - silly me!!

Inspire Black Leggings - £9.99
Koko Black Shine Disco Pants - £33.00
Faux Fur Jacket - £59.99
Burgundy Lace Shirt - £14.99
Teal Cut Out Shell Top - £17.99
Wide Fit Black Low Wedges - £14.99

So as mentioned above this is my sensible clothing for New Year's Eve, I haven't decided totally yet - but either way it is pretty stylish in my opinion :) I think personally for me, I will be going for the leggings and burgundy top. Not usually one for fur coats, but this one looks lovely and cosy :) I do worry on how it could be if it got wet though? The lace on the top I think will be complimented by the fur too.

What do you think?

Honestly, I could just go in jeans etc but I want to dress up a bit so I can go for drinks before and after.

Accessories

Black Clutch/Over Shoulder Bag - £12.99
Telephone Box Card Holder - £3.99
Nude Slogan Coin Purse - £3.99
London Sign Post Purse - £3.99

So this is my where my obsession of London comes in - the cute card holder for train tickets and ID, coin where 'it's what inside that counts!' - I live by this saying but I find it is a cute pun for coins/counting funny and finally the London sign posts I find cute for the notes. I think you can probably tell I like to be organised. All 3 of these go really nicely in the lovely little black handbag, perfect for a night out - especially one that involves travelling to London. A handy size, one that is big enough for a few things but small enough to be a going out bag.

Now last but not least:

Michael Kors Ladies Watch - Costing only £176 at 'The Watch Hut'

I really believe this watch is the perfect piece of jewellery to put this whole outfit together, with my London theme, I personally think it reminds me of 'Big Ben'. Although, it may just be me? Big but feminine and classy! Perfect for all occasions. - Have I said perfect a few too many times in this sentence? haha :) Don't you think it is just amazing? Certainly on my wish list for the near future! Such a fantastic price too but a company who has one of the best Customer Service!

Sensible To Sexy

Well what if you don't want to be sensible, then why not change the above a bit and go for these little picks for a night out on the town?

Black Sparkle Tube Skirt - £14.99
Black Suedette Waterfall Jacket - £29.99 (sale price)
Suedette Boots - £19.99 (similar but not exact to picture)

So add a skirt, thinner stylish jacket and a pair of heeled boots and you've got a winner either way! :)

That is it for now :) hope you lovelies have a wonderful Christmas and New Years Eve! Look forward to seeing some OOTD posts from fellow bloggers!

Life Update

Hi bloggers,

Well I don't really have much inspiration to write an actual post about anything interest but here is a bit of an update on what is going on in my life at the moment.

Work Dilemma

I decided to take the plunge and take a massive step in my life by handing in my resignation. I love my job of being a teacher to adults, on an apprenticeship. However, it is too much hassle than it is worth with the small team when money wise I am better off being at home. Their isn't enough staff so most days it will be only only be myseld and one other when you have around 30-40 students to deal with that is a lot. Plus much more drama with a certain collegue who is "stressed" due to her own fault. I feel no sympathy for someone who has self inflicted causes.

But work didn't want me to leave, so I now have been given a few options. 'The ball is in my court' as the saying would go which basically means at the moment, I have the upper hand and it is my decision on where I want to go and make some suggestions, and see what they agree on. I could possibly go part time (meaning one day off a week) or I could just full on stick to my resignation and leave to be at home with my little man.

A big part of handing my notice in is because I want to be at home with Corey. He has started to cry every morning before we go to work/nursery and honestly it just breaks my little heart and makes me cry. I can't handle that anymore, Corey needs me with him - I just know it is something I need to do for myself and him.

Honestly, what would you do in my situation?

Snuggly Winter Nights

Corey is unfourtently at his dad's for the weekend, so just the boyfriend I at home. Luckily, he had the whole weekend off which is a first. As you may have noticed by my many Christmassy posts that I love this time of year. So on Saturday night, we snuggled up on the sofa with the duvet, fire on and christmas tree lights watching Santa Claus 1, 2 & 3. I am sucker for movies, and always end up sobbing with tears. My favourite is of course the 1st Santa Claus when Charlie was just a little boy and the dad became Santa. It made me cry, and my boyfriend goes "why do you always have to cry at things like this?" - well this film inparticular because of Charlie when he crys and misses his santa (daddy) well that is exactly how Corey is with me when he leaves me, he never wants to leave me in the mornings etc - hence my reasoning of my work dilemma above.

Christmas & Birthday

Well we all know Christmas is just around the corner, for me that is not just it - on the 19th my little munchkin will celebrate his 3rd Birthday! Panic time, lots of presents and arrangements to sort out over the next following days :) As it is a Thursday, we are just doing a family meal so close to Christmas everyone is so busy so no child party this year. However, I do plan to do something super amazing next weekend.

Something I am excited for is his class at Nursery have a Carol Singing afternoon on Weds which I am able to attend, have never been so excited about something!

Caught In The Act

On Saturday I decided to get my hair and eyebrows done in time for Christmas. Luckily for me my best friend R is my hairdresser. Both mum and I go together every 6 weeks, busy getting R to straighten my hair and she drops me in it by going "well now you have your GHD's it will be easier for you too" all I heard was mum going "excuse me?" - whoppsie!!! Hadn't quite told my mum that one yet.

R even does my nans hair, although she goes at a different time to mum and I. Back in July/August I decided to get a dog, 8 years old and a close family friend, her owners were to be put into a home and RSPCA had said because of her age noone would want her so they would put her down - nooo way was mum & I letting that happen. Soo, I had mentioned this to R as we have a love for dogs. What did she go and do? Told my nan - who was not impressed with mum or I.

Bloody R always dropping me in it! Makes me laugh though :) what are best friends for hey.

Weight & Acne Issues

Well as you may all know I am on the larger side, and have no motivation to lose weight at this precious moment. Ohh, how I wish I did though!

(too much information coming up!)

Every so often, I have a health visitor come see Corey and myself just to have a chat and see how things are going. I mentioned my weight and said how due to my Implant that I have is a reasoning to my high weight. Which she agreed too thankfully, she has suggested alternate contraception such as the Coil, working in a similar way as the Implant however only affective in the womb oppose to the Implant which effects the whole body. Apparently this big difference could help me lose weight. So something to think about, although the Coil just sounds very uncomfortable. (sarcasm coming) Luckily for me she had some on her to show me, like just carried them around in her diary, really? Cringe moment when Corey tried to play with it as if it were a toy! A possibility I may try though.

If it were my way I would have none so I could get pregnant, but not the right timing. I have to be on a permanent contraception so I can take my Acne medicine called Roaccutane, very strong stuff. But it works miracles, all the oils in my face go and the acne clears constantly. The biggest side effect is depression, mine was just a low mood but enough for me to stop this medicine. After a month, I am back to my happy and cheery self again but my skin is super bad again.

Another bad side effect is that you lose your sex drive, sounds silly but the hormones in it cause so many issues.

It is a very hard decision as I of course want better skin but low moods aren't something I want to suffer from. Whatever ingredient it is that drys out my skin, I want to take that without the side effects :(

First thing that has ever worked on my skin though but do I risk the low moods and other issues it has caused for me? Like jaundice!!

Blogispiration

Well really I have none! I have so much on my mind, and not enough time in the day. I shall however, have the following posts to end 2013 -

#TheWinterProject Week 6
New Years Eve Outfit Ideas
Corey's 3rd Birthday
#TheWinterProject Week 7
Christmas Time - Santa Claus Is Here

Maybe the odd one here and there if I can think of any that come to mind anyways. With only a few more weeks left of 2013, I am sure this is enough posts to see me through to the new year :)

Until we meet again..

Hope you will all support me at these hard times of blogging and trying to manage it all, and in the new year I will continue as normal. I have seen I am not the only one who is in this tricky situation.

I will keep up to date on all the blogs I follow as I love a good late night read!

Educating Corey

Helloo Bloggers,

So as most of you will know, my little munchkin Corey is my most favourite person in the whole entire world. I have the unfourtunate decision to decide whether I leave my job and be a stay at home mother or continue work and better myself for the future. Quite frankly, I am torn between the two and it is a decision I am not taking lightly. A decision will be made over Christmas break as I will have around 13 days off to spend with my bundle of joy!

Anyways, it has come to my attention that Corey has a very short attention spam. He is a clever little boy, with a lot of stuff he is learning at Nursery. He amazes me with some of the things he comes out with! I try at home but he refuses as he will say 'I done that last time at Nursery Mummy'. He doesn't quite understand I would love to know how far he can count etc. Plus he starts Pre-School in January, argh, scary that he is growing up too fast.

As we approach his 3rd birthday, on 19th - I decided to do a bit of Mothercare/ELC shopping for some learning goodies to help better Corey. I shall do this whether or not I am a stay at home mother.

Here is what I braught:

As for the educational posters, I need to find somewhere to put these really so may be a few weeks before I can put these up! As you can see in the pictures below, they have:

For the primary school -
Times Tables
Numbers 1-100
What's the time?
Solar System
Human Body
Map Of Europe

For the early learning -
Letters A-Z
Numbers 1-20
Colours
Opposites
Shapes
First Words

Corey's age range is really kind of in between both of these hence my reasoning for getting both :)

My main aim is to get Corey into a proper bedtime routine, the Health Visitor and I came up with a good plan, so i braught a reward chart so Corey is able to put his own sticker on if he goes to bed on time every night without crying. So far it has been working!

Not only that, but it seems to have helped the love life a bit as we now get a bit more time together in the evenings. Even though sometimes Corey would go to bed late before, he still always gets over 12 hours sleep a night as he won't get up until woken around 8am ready for Nursery!

Here is his reward chart:

Slow steps of just starting with Bed Time, eventually it will be a behaviour one too!

So far, in the past few days I have really enjoyed using the flash cards, he has learnt some new things :) Corey gets really stuck in his ways, so him trying to understand King and Queen when he thinks they are Boy and Girl, will take some time and patience. But after all, he is only almost 3. I am unaware on how much they would meant to know at that point anyways even though all children are different and vary. So I am not really that bothered as long as Nursery and I are happy with his development progress.

So here is what I plan to do with Corey, what do you do with your little ones? :) Any tips?

SensatioNail Review

Evening Bloggers,

So most of you may know what SensatioNail is, I went for the Deluxe Starter Kit - worth £105 at Boots. However, I was lucky enjoy to grab it for only £45 in the Black Friday Sales!! What a bargain right? :)

WARNING - Pleasee excuse the very poor pictures, I have seem to have misplaced my battery charger so settling with iphone camera, bad move!

Here is the set I got:

Included was:

This is - LED lamp, 2 full size colour polishes - Taupe Tulips & Sugar Plum, base/top coat, cleanser, primer, pack of 12 Lint-free wipes & buffer plus the removal tool.

I first tried the Sugar Plum, ready for my Christmas Work Do that evening, it was easy and quick application. Leaflet says "no dry time" which isn't true, you do need a couple of minutes - but no more! I was very impressed with the process etc.

Here is how they turned out:

Pretty impressive eyy? :) First attempt, so not perfect.

Now apparently, these are meant to last 2 weeks but I didn't wear them long enough as the next day I picked it off (nasty irritating habit of mine!) Quite frankly, it was far too easy then it should have been. I was silly enough to not purpose the Removal Kit, I strongly suggest you buy this along with your starter kit if you go ahead and buy things :) Alternatively, you can use acetone to soak the Gel polish off.

I have also tried the Taupe Tulips colour, which I highly recommend, as a beautiful natural colour! I forgot to snap a picture of this, but will add as soon as I re-do over the weekend.

What do you girlies think? Worth an investment?

Let me know your thoughts please :)

This is the 4th of #TheWinterProject created by the wonderful Kellie Saunders who has a post all about this project on this link here.

Week 4 - Christmas Present Ideas

Christmas Present Gift Ideas

Ladies - mum, nan, aunty, sister, cousin, friend, etc.

Can never go wrong with teddies of any sorts, 'Me to You' are my favourite. Boxsets, bath bombs, handbags, jewellery, spa day, make-up and perfume. You'll need to mix and match depending on who for as I could guarantee my nan wouldn't like Benefit make-up but possibly some wrinkle cream or something! Same goes for perfume, handbags etc. I know a Spa Day would be amazing for me, never had one before. But what about other experience days, treat your mum and nan to expreience day of Afternoon Tea or something :) Then a great present for both of them to enjoy!

Gentlemen - dad, grandad, uncle, brother, cousin, friend, etc.

Football shirt of their chosen football team is always a winner if they don't already have this years!! Watch, cufflinks - or other jewellery, games, boxsets, tablets, aftershave and books. Also, for the grandads or uncles etc, slippers or a robe, to keep them warm in the winter months.

Children - Boys

These really are things I wish I could get my son! A battery powered Fireman Sam Fire Engine, a pop up castle tent and Jake the Netherlands Costume (to let his imagination run wild a bit more than he already does!) also this bit wooden playset - helicopters, police and fire engines - he would literally be in toy heaven.

Children - Girls

Similar to the boys, but a girly version, a pop up fairy castle tent, princess dress up and a Disney Castle for all the princesses (where was this when I was a little girl, honestly? I want!!) and finally Peppa Pig etchy sketch.

Hope you found some good ideas, I really loved looking into this post :) can't wait for next weeks #TheWinterProject post!
